Next to the house,

A bush of thorns.

Did it surive,

The winters storm?

An ugly bush,

No sign of life.

I'd cut it down,

But for my wife.

Spring is hear,

 must believe.

For on the stalk,

The making of leaves.

I guess it lasted,

Its alive.

The winters storms,

It surived.

Then one morning,

A glorious show.

As thru the leaves,

Pushed a Rose.

Just a thought,

By a lowly mortal.

Must be roses,

Around heavens portals.
