INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

FADE IN

A muscular man (JACOB) is standing in a white tiled shower.

He is resting one hand against the wall as the steaming

water pours down him. His head is down and there is blood

mixed with the water running down his body.

CUT TO

A PACKED COURT ROOM (DAY)

There is a lot of noise, shouting and cheering.

An attractive female lawyer (STACY)is standing up smiling.

An angry, dangerous looking man is shouting, spittle flying

from his lips, as he is being dragged away by police men.

ANGRY MAN

I’ll get you for this you fucking

bitch. Your fucking dead, do you

hear me. Fucking dead.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

Jacob is standing, a clean white towel wrapped around his

waist, looking at himself in the mirror. There are two small

cuts to his face. One over his right eyebrow, the other to

his lower lip. There are also two long cuts on his body, one

on his chest, the other on his back.

Jacob picks up a hand towel and touches it to the cut above

his eye.

CUT TO

INT. KITCHEN IN A CHINESE RESTAURANT (DAY)

There is chaos in the kitchen.

Jacob is fighting several men at the same time. Suddenly he

gets a blow to his eye.

The shot freezes as the punch makes contact.

CUT TO

2.

EXT. OUTSIDE A COURT HOUSE (DAY)

Stacy is walking out of the court triumphant. There are

several other young lawyers around her, they are smiling and

laughing and motioning to go out for a few drinks.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

Jacob finishes cleaning his eye and touches the hand towel

to his lip.

CUT TO

INT. KITCHEN IN A CHINESE RESTAURANT (DAY)

The fight scene unfreezes.

Jacob recoils from the punch to the face. He catches the man

that punched him with a couple of punches of his own and

then kicks him on top of a firing cooker. The handle of a

mop catches Jacob in the face knocking him over a counter.

The shot freezes as Jacob is half way over the counter.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

Lively Music is playing.

Stacy is wrapped in a snow white towel and is dancing in

front of the mirror as she blow dries her hair.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

Jacob removes the hand towel from his lip and then moves

down to the cut on his chest, wincing as he applies the hand

towel to the cut.

CUT TO

3.

INT. KITCHEN IN A CHINESE RESTAURANT (DAY)

The fight scene unfreezes.

Jacob goes over the counter but lands on his feet. He grabs

the mop and pulls it free from his attacker as two more men,

wielding cleavers, come at him, one from each side. Jacob

attacks them both. He stabs one of the attackers through the

eye with the mop but as he turns to face the other a cleaver

cuts through his shirt.

The shot Freezes with a close up of the cut, a small

splattering of blood is caught in the shot.

CUT TO

INT. BEDROOM (EVENING)

Lively music is playing

Stacy is now dressed to go out. She looks fabulous. She is

applying her make up in a mirror.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

Jacob is now turning his back to the mirror to get a better

look at the cut on his back. he reaches up to it.

CUT TO

INT. KITCHEN IN A CHINESE RESTAURANT (DAY)

The fight scene unfreezes.

Jacob pulls back as the slash to his chest arcs down into

the air. Jacob spins and drops low swinging the mop,

catching his attacker across the ankles, tripping him up.

The first attacker with the cleaver, his face bloody and his

eye gone, cuts at Jacob’s back.

Again the shot freezes half way through the cut, with

another small spattering of blood caught in the freeze shot.

CUT TO

4.

EXT. APARTMENT BLOCK (NIGHT)

Stacy is walking down the steps of her apartment block. She

raises her hand and a cab pulls up.

She gets in. The cab pulls away.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (EVENING)

Jacob is looking at himself in the mirror. He runs his

fingers through his hair and gives himself a little wink. He

moves out of shot.

CUT TO

INT. KITCHEN IN A CHINESE RESTAURANT (DAY)

The fight scene unfreezes.

Jacob cartwheels over the man on the floor, kicking another

attacker as he lands. He then breaks the mop handle in two

creating a sharp stick. The attacker who cut Jacob’s back

jumps over the man on the floor but before he lands Jacob

stabs him through the neck with his stick. He then quickly

stabs the man on the floor.

Jacob straightens himself, gives himself a little shake off

and moves towards the door, stabbing one more man before

leaving.

CUT TO

EXT. OUTSIDE A NIGHTCLUB (NIGHT)

A small group of people are standing together outside the

club. A cab pulls up and Stacy steps out. The group cheer

and laugh as Stacy gets out of the cab. A couple of them are

tapping their watches accusingly.

The group enters the night club.

A solitary man, dressed in dark clothes comes up the street

and enters the club after Stacy and her friends.

CUT TO

5.

INT. LIVING ROOM (NIGHT)

The room is almost completely bare save for a bookcase, a

stereo, a large bean bag, a plant and a fat cat.

Jacob enters the room in loose fitting white pajamas. He

flicks on the Stereo, which plays soothing classical music

and then taking a book from the shelf Jacob settles down in

the bean bag with the cat and starts to read.

CUT TO

INT. NIGHTCLUB (NIGHT)

The club is busy. There is loud music playing and

people are dancing.

Stacy and her friends are standing around talking and

drinking. The man that followed them into the nightclub is

sitting at the bar. As he sips at his drink he is watching

Stacy and her friends in the mirror behind the bar.

One of Stacy’s friends motions to a set of stairs leading up

to a mezzanine floor. The group nod to each other and make a

move towards the stairs.

CUT TO

INT. LIVING ROOM (NIGHT)

Jacob looks uncomfortable. He puts his book down and

sighs. Then getting up he leaves the room.

CUT TO

INT. BATHROOM (NIGHT)

Jacob is looking in the mirror. He is dressed in a clean

sharp suit. He applies a little after shave and fixes his

hair.

CUT TO

INT. LIVING ROOM (NIGHT)

Jacob enters the living room grabs his keys from the

bookcase and leaves his apartment.

CUT TO

INT. NIGHTCLUB (NIGHT)

Jacob enters the nightclub. He sits at the bar, orders a

drink and starts to do a crossword in a newspaper seemingly

oblivious to the noise and people around him.

CUT TO

INT. NIGHTCLUB, UPSTAIRS (NIGHT)

Stacy and her friends are standing next to the railings,

laughing and joking as they drink and watch the people

dancing below.

The man that followed them is sitting at a table near them,

watching.

CUT TO

INT. NIGHTCLUB (NIGHT)

Jacob finishes his drink, orders another and then gets up

and heads for the toilets under the mezzanine floor.

CUT TO

INT. NIGHTCLUB, UPSTAIRS (NIGHT)

The man watching Stacy and her friends gets up from his

table and starts to walk towards the group. As he get close

one of Stacy’s friends steps in his way. The friend suddenly

falls to the floor in Pain.

We see a bloodied knife in the mans hand. Stacy and her

friends turn and laugh as their friend falls. Then they see

the knife and the man approaching them. Suddenly they look

very scared.

The man lunges at Stacy with the knife but she turns his

hand away and grabs the mans wrist. The two struggle for a

few moment and then the man pushes Stacy’s face forcing her

over the balcony.

The shot slows as we see Stacy tipping over the balcony,

absolute terror on her face.

CUT TO

7.

INT. NIGHTCLUB (NIGHT)

Jacob is just passing under the mezzanine floor when he

hears a scream from above. Spinning around and crouching

slightly Stacy falls safely into his arms. For a moment

Stacy looks shocked but then staring into Jacobs eyes she

smiles.

CUT TO

INT. NIGHTCLUB, UPSTAIRS (NIGHT)

The man that attacked Stacy looks over the balcony and

swears. He then turns and runs away.

CUT TO

INT. JACOBS LIVING ROOM (DAY)

We see a succession of shots (TIME LAPS) as more and more

pieces of furniture appear in Jacob’s living room.

The shot then returns to normal speed and we see Jacob

carrying Stacy into the room. Stacy is wearing a wedding

dress. They both fall onto the large bean bag laughing and

kissing.

FADE OUT

INT. AN OFFICE BOARD ROOM (DAY)

A MUSIC SCORE is over playing the scene so we don’t really

hear what is being said.

Several people are sitting around a table, Stacy is one of

them. A man is pointing to a white board and

speaking. Stacy is just staring off into space. We can just

hear Stacy’s name being said, but she doesn’t reply. Her

name is said again and suddenly she looks up at the man.

Mouthing the word "Sorry" she looks at the papers in front

of her and then starts to address the group.

EXT. AN ALLEYWAY (NIGHT)

THE SAME SCORE IS PLAYING FROM THE LAST SCENE.

A dirty alleyway, strewn with garbage containers and bins. A

door is open and light is spilling out into the alleyway.

CONTINUED: 8.

A man comes crashing out into the alleyway and lies on the

ground. Then a second and then a third.

Jacob walks out of the door and heads off up the alleyway.

INT. A PLUSH CAFE (DAY)

THE SAME SCORE IS PLAYING FROM THE LAST SCENE.

Stacy is sitting with some friends drinking coffee. her

friends are all talking but Stacy is watching a young couple

sitting another table with their young son.

EXT. A DOCK YARD (RAINING. NIGHT)

THE SAME SCORE IS PLAYING FROM THE LAST SCENE.

Jacob is standing in a dock yard with four men slowly

circling around him.

One of the men attacks Jacob but Jacob side steps the attack

and flips the man. The second man attacks but Jacob grabs

him and uses him as a shield as the third man attacks. Jacob

breaks the man he is holdings neck. The forth man moves to

grab Jacob from behind but Jacob anticipates the move and

throws the man over his shoulder. The third man now moves in

but Jacob kicks him to the face. Some of the men are back on

their feet. They close in on Jacob

FADE OUT

INT. LIVING ROOM (MORNING)

Stacy walks through the living room in her pajamas. She

approaches Jasper the cat, who is sitting on a small pile of

papers on the bean bag.

STACY

Shoo Jasper. Bad cat.

Stacy picks up the papers and quickly sorts them.

EXT. BALCONY OVER LOOKING THE CITY (MORNING)

Jacob is in his pajamas. He is sitting at a small table

eating breakfast. He has another small wound to his face.

Stacy comes out onto the balcony.

(CONTINUED)

STACY

Jasper has been sleeping on my work

again.

Stacy leans down and kisses Jacob softly on the lips. She

then gently touches the cut to Jacobs face. Jacob just

smiles at her. Stacy sits at the table and pours herself

some coffee.

STACY

You were working late again last

night.

JACOB

You know how it is sweetie. It

comes with the job.

Jacob nods towards the papers in Stacy’s hand.

JACOB

What you working on.

STACY

Oh not much. Some poor guy got his

head caved in defending his girl

friend at a taxi rank. The usual

stuff. (BEAT) just another day in

the big city.

JACOB

You still getting death threats

sent to the office.

STACY (SMILING)

You know how it is sweetie. It

comes with the job.

JACOB

Want me to take care of it?

STACY (SMILING)

You know the rule darling. I don’t

get involved in your work, you

don’t get involved in mine.

(Beat)Let me deal with in my own

way. Besides, if i wanted it taken

care of, in that way, i could just

call daddy.

JACOB (SMILES)

Daddies little girl.

Stacy smiles sweetly at Jacob and then steals a bit of

croissant from his plate.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 10.

Stacy is flicking through her papers. Suddenly she sighs.

STACY

Jacob, do you ever get tired of it?

JACOB

Tired of what honey?

STACY

You know what. All this crap we

deal with. Me, working day after

day, trying to put scumbags away

only to watch them walk out of

court and spit in my face.

You,(Beat) doing whatever it is you

do and coming home bloody and

wounded week after week.

Jacob looks intently at her.

JACOB

What do you suggest.

STACY (SUDDENLY LOOKING VERY EXCITED)

Lets go away. Just you and me. Lets

go somewhere vast and empty.

Somewhere hot. Somewhere were no

one knows us. Were we can just live

without the constant treat of

violence and death.

JACOB

Your serious!

Stacy gets up from her seat and kneels before Jacob, taking

both his hands in hers.

STACY

Deadly. (BEAT)Besides this is no

life in which to raise a child.

JACOB

A Child?

Stacy nods.

STACY

Our child.

Jacob looks at her hard and then smiles.

SLOW FADE OUT

11.

INT. LIVING ROOM JACOBS APARTMENT (DAY)

FADE IN

(Time laps) We see the pieces of furniture disappearing from

the room. We see packing boxes filling up and vanishing.

Finally we we suit cases filling up.

(NORMAL SPEED) Jacob and Stacy are standing close together

in the in the empty room holding hands.

STACY (SIGHS)

So that’s it we’re done.

JACOB

Your sure this is what you want.

STACY (NODS)

I’m Sure. You go to Mexico and sign

the papers, I’ll finish clearing

out my apartment.

Stacy reaches up and gently strokes Jacobs cheek.

STACY

A new beginning.

JACOB

A new beginning.

Jacob and Stacy kiss softly.

EXT. APARTMENT BLOCK (EVENING)

Stacy is walking up the steps of her apartment block.

A car is parked across the street. Three men are sitting in

it. They are watching as Stacy enters the building. As she

enters the three men get out of th car and start to cross

the road.

INT. STACY’S APARTMENT (EVENING)

Stay is tiding away a few boxes when there is a knock at the

door.

Stacy pauses and looks towards the door. She looks a little

nervous. Looking about she picks up a small lamp stand and

moves towards the door.

INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE STACY’S APARTMENT (EVENING)

The three men are standing at the door of Stacy’s apartment.

The shot moves to the bottom of the door where we can see

light coming from the apartment. A shadow appears under the

door. When the shadow stops growing one of the men. Steps

back and kicks the door open.

INT. STACY’S APARTMENT (EVENING)

The door burst open, hitting Stacy. As Stacy stumbles back

the three men come rushing in.

A fight ensues, with Stacy lashing out at her attackers. She

breaks one of the attackers noses with the lamp stand and

kicks another in the testicles but the third attacker

punches in square in the face knocking her to the floor. The

three men then descend upon her.

FADE OUT

INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE STACY’S APARTMENT (MORNING)

Jacob is walking along the corridor. He is wearing jeans and

a t-shirt. He looks happy.

Jacob gets to the door. As he goes to put a key in the lock

he sees that the door has been forced. He enters the

apartment and looks about. He looks worried and afraid.

Jacob spots a patch of blood on the floor and crouching down

he gently runs his finger across it. Suddenly his face

become hard.

INT. BATHROOM IN JACOBS APARTMENT (NIGHT)

Jacob is back in his suit. He is looking in the mirror. His

face is dark and hard as he fixes his hair. He then picks up

a gun from beside the sink and sliding it into a holster

under his jacket he walks out of the bathroom.

INT. EMPTY WAREHOUSE. NIGHT. LIGHT IS TURNING ON AND OFF

(NOT TO QUICKLY)

Jacob is walking towards the camera. He has a gun in one

hand held down by his side. As Jacob gets close to the

camera he stops, holds up the gun and fires.

INT. DINGY CAFE (MORNING)

Behind the counter there is a scruffy looking cook. Two

large men in suits sit at the counter drinking

coffee. Another man, fat and well dressed, (Mr Douglas) is

sitting at a table eating a fry. Music is playing on a radio

in the background.

MR DOUGLAS

Hey frank what’s with all the

fucking Bacon. You know I’m

watching my salt.

Mr Douglas fires two pieces of bacon over the counter at

Frank.

FRANK

Sorry Mr Douglas i forgot.

(BEAT)Would you like some more

sausages instead, Mr Douglas.

Mr Douglas thinks for a moment.

MR DOUGLAS

Yeah, get me a couple more

sausage’s. And turn that shite off.

You know i like to listen to Gerry

in the morning.

FRANK

Right away Mr Douglas.

INT. EMPTY WAREHOUSE. (MORNING) A DOOR IS OPEN ALLOWING

LIGHT TO POUR INTO THE WAREHOUSE

A small thin man (Worried) is looking at a bloodied corpse

tied to a chair with a hole in its head, . He looks about

the warehouse bemused.

INT. DINGY CAFE (MORNING)

The small thin man comes running into the cafe. One of the

men at the counter gets up to stop him but Mr Douglas

signals for him to be let past.

The thin man whisperers something into the ear of MR

Douglas. Mr Douglas looks surprised and throwing his knife

and fork down in an angry fashion he takes a phone from his

pocket and dials a number.

EXT. DINGY CAFE (MORNING)

An old black sports car pulls up out side. Jacob gets out of

the car and enters the cafe.

INT. DINGY CAFE (MORNING)

One of the large men at the counter gets up to stop Jacob

but Mr Douglas signals for him to be let past.

Jacob takes a seat opposite Mr Douglas at the table

MR DOUGLAS

Haven’t seen you around for a while

Jacob and you’ve got a tan.

JACOB

Yeah I’ve been taking care of some

personal stuff.

MR DOUGLAS

Well you can forget about

that now. I need you to take care

of something for me.

JACOB

What’s the job?

MR DOUGLAS

I need a bag man.

JACOB

A bit tame for someone like me

isn’t it. Besides i though Sammy

was your bag man.

MR DOUGLAS

Someone took out Sammy last night.

JACOB

That’s to bad. I liked Sammy.

MR DOUGLAS

He was a fucking prick. (BEAT) But

a good one. Anyway now i need a new

bag man. Someone with a bit more...

muscle.

JACOB

So you thought of me.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 15.

MR DOUGLAS

Exactly.

Mr Douglas takes a picture from his pocket and slides it

across the table to Jacob. Jacob picks up the picture and

looks at it. As Jacob is looking at the picture Mr Douglas

takes a flask from his pocket and swigs from it, wincing in

pain as he swallows.

JACOB

Pretty girl.

Mr Douglas nods and coughs a little.

MR DOUGLAS

Yeah, smart too, she’s a lawyer. I

Fucking hate lawyers.

JACOB

So who is she?

MR DOUGLAS

She’s someone that a lot of very

dangerous people want to get their

hands on, that’s who. She’s a

commodity, which came into my

possession and which I’ve sold to

the highest bidder.

JACOB

So who gets the prize.

MR DOUGLAS

Her father, an associate of mine.

Tough bastard by the name of

Dougherty. Ever hear of him.

JACOB

Sure, I’ve seen him around.

MR DOUGLAS

So now you know why i want you to

handle the handover.

JACOB

You think the girls father had

Sammy whacked?

MR DOUGLAS (SHRUGS)

What the fuck do i care. Sammy knew

nothing anyway. You know how i like

to keep things.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 16.

JACOB

Real simple.

MR DOUGLAS

Exactly.(Beat) You collect the

money and bring it to me and i

release the girl. (beat)Real

simple.

As Jacob stands to leave Mr Douglas takes another drink from

his flask.

JACOB

That stuff ’ll Kill you, you know.

Mr Douglas looks at the flask.

MR DOUGLAS

What, you mean before a bullet.

I fucking doubt it.

INT. ROOM ABOVE A STREET (AFTERNOON)

There are five men in the room One of the men is sitting

behind a desk, he is MR DOUGHERTY. A fidgety long haired

fellow sitting on the edge of the desk is his son DAMO. One

of the men is the small thin man from earlier. He is called

STEVE. The other too men are henchmen.

MR DOUGHERTY

Okay men let’s surmise shall we.

Plan A.

CUT TO:

We see Steve standing on some boxes at night looking through

the window of a warehouse. Steve is watching as Jacob is

beating up Sammy inside the warehouse. We then get a sharp

cut to Jacob killing Sammy.

MR DOUGHERTY (CONT’D V.O)

The plan where we take Sammy in and

torture the bollix until he tells

us where they are keeping Stacy.

Well that was a complete fucking

disaster. (PAUSE)Plan B.

CUT TO:

We see Steve going to see Mr Douglas.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 17.

MR DOUGHERTY (CONT’D V.O)

Where Steve tells MR Douglas who

killed Sammy and so gains favor

with the fat fuck and then gets the

job as bag man. Let’s face it

gentlemen that plan was only ever a

fucking pipe dream,and was also a

complete fucking disaster. So now

we are down to plan C...

CUT TO:

We are back in the room. Damo suddenly interrupts his

father.

DAMO

Yeah, where we get the new bag man

and torture the cunt.

Mr Dougherty suddenly smacks Damo across the head.

MR DOUGHERTY

What have I told you about

interrupting me. Now shut the fuck

up, you’re interfering with my

thought process. As i was saying,

Plan C. We get the new bag man and

we rough him up a bit. Not the face

though, we don’t want him leaving

here looking like he’s had a good

kicking. (He pauses and looks at

everyone in the room) Now we all

understand that bit yeah? Not the

face, we’re not killing the fucker.

We only want to get his attention.

Everybody nods.

MR DOUGHERTY

Good. Now, originally we planed to

play a tape to Sammy of his wife

being tortured to help loosen his

tongue. But now we don’t know who’s

coming so Steve here has put

together a collection of different

people being tortured. It’s his job

to identify whoever it is that

Douglas has sent and to pick the

right tape and play it for them.

Steve the tape please.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 18.

Steve hands a tape to Mr Dougherty, who puts it into a tape

player and turns it on. We hear a short selection of people

screaming, including a couple of children calling for their

daddy’s. Mr Dougherty turns the tape off.

HENCHMAN 1

Jesus Steve. Did you actually

torture all those people, even the

kiddies.

STEVE

No, of course i bloody well didn’t.

My sister Gladis is in an armature

dramatic society. They play down at

the old Porky Hotel; mostly nancy,

fairy stuff. I got her and some of

her friends to make it.

MR DOUGHERTY

(Sighs) If we can get back to the

business at hand gentlemen. (PAUSE)

So we play the tape to the new bag

man and force him to take one of us

with him to make the hand over. The

rest of us will follow behind. Once

the hand over takes place we storm

the place and kill everyone. (Sighs

again even louder) I’ve seen better

plans inside a box of flat packed

furniture. But it’s what we’ve got

so we’ll just have to work with it.

EXT. STREET WITH SHOPS. (AFTERNOON)

Jacob’s car pulls up and Jacob gets out. He scans the street

for a few moments and then goes into a coffee shop where he

takes a seat by the window and orders a coffee.

INT. ROOM ABOVE THE STREET (AFTERNOON)

STEVE

(Looking out the window)

Ah Bollox!

MR DOUGHERTY

What is it?

STEVE

(Alarmed)

It’s Jacob, Mr Dougherty. He’s sent

Jacob.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 19.

Damo leaves his seat on the desk and goes to the window to

look out.

MR DOUGHERTY

The guy that whacked Sammy?

STEVE nods.

MR DOUGHERTY

I thought he would be dead by now.

It seems our Mr Douglas is a smart

man. This way if things go bad here

for Jacob it’s our problem and if

not, no doubt Mr Douglas will be

waiting for him when the money’s

handed over. Very clever indeed.

STEVE

(looking shocked)

No you don’t get it Mr Dougherty.

Plan C is fucked. Jacob doesn’t

have any family. He doesn’t have

anyone. And he’s as nasty as a pit

bull with its knackers in a vice.

Mr Dougherty gets angry and tosses the papers on his desk

into the air. He then throws the tape player against the

wall.

MR DOUGHERTY

(Shouting)

So how many plans do we fucking

need.

DAMO

(Standing next to Steve,

looking out the window)

So why is he just sitting there?

Why doesn’t he come up?

STEVE

He’s waiting, watching to see who’s

around.

DAMO

He doesn’t look that tough to me. I

say we work him over and find out

where they’re keeping Stacy.

EXT. STREET WITH SHOPS. (AFTERNOON)

Jacob finishes his coffee and leaves the coffee shop. He

starts to cross the road.

INT. ROOM ABOVE THE STREET (AFTERNOON)

STEVE

(looking out the window again)

Ah fuck he’s coming. Look, you

don’t fucking get it. Jacob isn’t

just tough. He’s a fucking killing

machine. Last year Mr Douglas had a

problem with some of the local

Triads. He sent Jacob and no more

problem. The locals were eating

bits of Chinaman in their curry for

months.

MR DOUGHERTY

Do you think this, Jacob, knows

where they’re holding Stacy.

STEVE

Possibly.

Damo takes a gun from his jacket and slides a bullet into

the chamber.

DAMO

Why don’t you let me ask him Da.

MR DOUGHERTY

Put the gun away Damo. This is your

sisters life we’re talking about

and i ain’t about to let you go

about fucking things up.

DAMO

(Frustrated)But Da, once they get

the money they’ll probably kill her

anyway.

Mr Dougherty smacks Damo across the head.

MR DOUGHERTY

What have i told you about shooting

your mouth off. Now shut the fuck

up, put that gun away and let’s

just see what our, Mr Jacob, has to

say.

(Frustrated) Damo puts his gun away.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 21.

The door opens and Jacob walks in.

JACOB

You got a package for me?

Mr Dougherty motions for Damo to bring a bag over to Jacob.

MR DOUGHERTY

You must be Jacob.

JACOB

Yeah, I’m Jacob.

MR DOUGHERTY

I wonder if i could talk to you for

a moment before you take my money

away.

Damo is now standing next to Jacob with the bag in his hand.

He is trying to stare Jacob out but Jacob’s eyes are fixed

on Mr Dougherty. Damo places the bag at Jacobs feet but as

he does he pulls out his gun and points it at Jacob.

DAMO

(Loud and aggressively)

Yeah, like where’s my

fucking...

MR DOUGHERTY

(Shouts) Damo, no!

Before Damo can finish the sentence Jacob breaks his arm at

the elbow and then while Damo is still holding his gun Jacob

turns the gun on Damo and uses Damo’s body as a shield.

Everybody else in the room now have their guns out and are

pointing them at Jacob.

JACOB

Put the fucking guns down.

MR DOUGHERTY

Look Jacob if you don’t let my son

go, you ain’t getting out of here

alive.

JACOB

Sure i am, because I’m the only

chance you have of ever seeing your

daughter alive again.

Jacob twists Damo’s arm a little more as he forces the

muzzel of the gun hard into Damo’s face. (Damo moans in

pain).

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 22.

Mr Dougherty lowers his gun and motions for the others to do

likewise.

MR DOUGHERTY

Why would you care if my daughter

lives or dies Mr Jacob.

JACOB

Because I’m her fucking husband.

That’s why.

MR DOUGHERTY

Husband eh. Well she kept you

pretty quiet didn’t she.

JACOB

That was the plan. We wanted out of

this life. Everything was in place.

(pause) Then all this shit kicked

off.

Jacob releases Damo and keeping his gun he kicks him in the

direction of his father. Mr Dougherty slaps Damo about the

head.

MR DOUGHERTY

Idiot boy. Now stand over there and

keep out of the fucking way.

DAMO

But Da, me fucking arm.

MR DOUGHERTY

I’ll break your fucking leg if you

don’t shut the fuck up.

MR DOUGHERTY

Jacob you should probably know that

Steve here informed Mr Douglas that

it was you who killed Sammy last

night. You’ll be getting more than

a bon-voyage when you turn up with

my money.

Jacob looks over at Steve

STEVE

Hey man, it was nothing personal.

JACOB

Aren’t you in the wrong nest Steve.

Steve nods.

(CONTINUED)

STEVE

Long story.

MR DOUGHERTY

Look Jacob. You want Stacy back and

I want Stacy back. But Mr Douglas

has her and he is planning to kill

her. So how do you suggest we

remedy this little situation of

ours.

Jacob scratches his head with the muzzel of Damo’s gun.

JACOB

There will be a lot of guys there.

MR DOUGHERTY

You want men, i can give you men.

JACOB

NO, no men. What i want are guns.

Lots of fucking guns.

CUT TO

EXT. IN JACOBS CAR (AFTERNOON)

Jacob is on the phone as he drives.

JACOB

Okay I’ve got the money. Now where

am i taking it.

Jacob nods, throws the phone onto the seat beside him and

speeds away.

EXT. OUTSIDE SOME OLD WAREHOUSES (AFTERNOON)

Jacob skids to a halt outside one of the buildings. He gets

out of the car and moves around to the boot. He opens the

boot where there are two identical bags. He takes one,

throws it over his shoulder and walks towards a door.

INT. ANNEX OF WAREHOUSE (AFTERNOON)

Jacob walks through the door where he is met by four men.

Two of them are standing just inside the door, two more are

standing at the end of the hallway in front of another door.

One of the men raises his hand as Jacob comes through the

door. As Jacob comes to a stop he throws the bag onto the

floor in front of the nearest two men. One man then takes a

phone from his pocket.

MAN 1

Jacob is here Mr Douglas.

(pause)Yes he has the bag. (pause)

Sure thing Mr Douglas.

The Man puts the phone away.

MAN 1

Mr Douglas says i have to check the

bag.

Jacob motions to the bag at the mans feet. Man 1 and Man 2

look at each other and then bend down together and open the

bag. As the bag is opened they see that it is full of guns.

Both look surprised and then look at each other.

MAN1 MAN2

Shit.

Jacob has pulled two guns out from his waste band and

holding them to both mens heads he fires a couple of shots,

killing them. Jacob then shoots of the rest of the rounds in

the guns into the two other men as they are reaching for

their own guns.

Dropping the empty guns onto the ground Jacob reaches into

the bag and pulls out an oozy machine gun. Then, picking up

the bag in his free hand he walks towards the door at the

the end of the hallway. As he walks he raises the gun and

points it at the door.

INT. WAREHOUSE. BOTTOM OF DARK STAIRWAY (AFTERNOON)

Two men are standing on the other side of the door. They are

aiming their guns at the door and breathing heavily.

Automatic gunfire is heard from out side and dozens of holes

appear in the door as one of the men is shot dead.

INT. ANNEX OF WAREHOUSE (AFTERNOON)

Jacob reaches the door and kicks it open.

INT. WAREHOUSE. BOTTOM OF DARK STAIRWAY (AFTERNOON)

The door explodes in on top of the man standing there,

knocking his gun arm away.

Jacob comes through the door and and pointing his gun at the

mans head he fires, but the gun is empty.

The man swings his gun back towards Jacob but Jacob grabs

his arm and with a wrist lock flips the man onto the floor

before braking his arm and shooting him with his own gun.

Jacob takes another hand gun from his bag and heads up the

stairs.

INT. WAREHOUSE. TOP OF DARK STAIRWAY (AFTERNOON)

Two men are looking down the stairs nervously.

MAN 3

Fuck, here he comes.

Both men start firing over the stair rail.

In slow motion, with shots ringing off the wall around him

Jacob comes running around a bend in the stairwell firing.

Both men are hit. One falls over the stair rail. The other

just drops to the floor.

As Jacob reaches the top of the stairs he stops to reload

his guns. As he does so he notices that the man at his feet

is still alive.

INT. WAREHOUSE. LARGE UPPER ROOM. (AFTERNOON)

Mr Douglas is standing about twenty feet inside the room. He

is holding Stacy with a gun to her head. On either side of

him is a man with a gun pointed at the door. Between these

two men is Frank the cook, from the cafe. He is still

dressed in a dirty apron and is now brandishing two meat

cleavers.

The door suddenly bursts in and a man comes stumbling in.

The two gun men protecting MR DOUGLAS open fire. But as the

man falls dead to the floor we see that he is the man from

the top of the stairs.

As Jacob enters the room he dives forward as shots ring out

around him. He comes up in a crouch and shoots both of the

men standing on either side of Mr Douglas. Emptying both

guns into them.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 26.

Frank now screams and charges at Jacob, swinging the

cleavers as he comes. Jacob and Frank fight. Jacob blocking

Franks attacks. Finally Jacob gets one of the cleavers from

Frank and kills him with it. He then gets up and starts to

walk towards Mr. Douglas.

MR DOUGLAS

Stop right where you are Jacob or

I’ll kill her. I swear I’ll fucking

kill her.

Jacob raises the cleaver to attack Mr Douglas.

MR DOUGLAS

Well fuck you Jacob!

Mr Douglas takes his gun away from Stacy’s head and pointing

it at Jacob he pulls the trigger. But as he does so Stacy

pushes his arm up so the the shot fires off up into the air.

As she does this she kicks over her own shoulder and sends

Mr Douglas crashing to the floor. As Mr Douglas falls Stacy

takes the gun from his hand. And Jacob picks up one of the

guns dropped by the dead bodyguard.

Jacob stands beside Stacy and they both point their guns

down at Mr Douglas and fire.

With Mr Douglass dead Stacy puts the gun into her waist band

and kisses Jacob passionately .

STACY

You took your bloody time.

JACOB

(As the couple are walking

away)

Well you know how it is. There was

the tickets to book and i had to

drop the cat around to Mrs Smiths.

Oh yeah and i had to go see your

dad too.

STACY

And how was Daddy. Was he terrible

annoyed that he missed the wedding.

JACOB

He’ll get over it.

STACY

Still, we should probably invite

him to the Christening.

(CONTINUED)

JACOB

We’ll drop him a line?

EXT. OUTSIDE THE OLD WAREHOUSES (AFTERNOON)

Jacob opens the boot of his car and throws the bag inside,

then he takes out the other bag and unzips it. Inside the

bag is hundreds of thousand of Euro’s and some passports and

plane tickets. He takes out the passports and tickets.

STACY

Where did you get the money Jacob.

JACOB

Your dad gave it to me. Kind of a

dowry.

STACY

Good old Daddy.

Both Jacob and Stacy get in to the car. The car speeds away.
