I always used to wonder

Why someone turns out the lights

And all of a sudden, fast beating

Erupts from inside, like a drum under your heart

Your pasted on smile dims to a frown

You close your eyes, praying to just fall asleep

Why dosn't anyone want to stay awake

Alive, when the world cries?

"Why wont you answer me?"

When I tell you I can feel a heavy

Weight hovering over me and

I can't shift my mind to anything other

Than trains gliding harshly across my body

Sharp rocks stabbing

Guns shooting

I swear I hear you say I,m misunderstood

Why is it that you

Can't feel the moons blood dripping on your pillow?

Why can't you see the tears burning through?

Acid in my eyes, I feel like I can't see myslef in the light

I don't want to stay in the dark, it's too dull
