"Allison, honey, are you sure you want to go to school today?" her mother asked her calmy.

"Mom, I'll be fine, even though you don't see him daddy is with me." Allison replied firmly. As she stepped out of her house beside the coal mines where her father had gotten killed, she looked up at the sky, with a big breathe and said "I love you, daddy." This day was going to be one of the hardest days in her life. Allison didn't know how to approach all the kids with their dad's there, but she knew she had her fathers strength and she could handle it. She knew her mama was so worried. She loved the coal mines of her beautiful West Virginia.

As she walked into the school, she could feel the butterflies in her stomach arise, and she knew this wasn't going to be so easy at all. She could see all the kids and dad's whispering, about where her dad was. She even heard on parent say "Looks like another dead beat dad to busy to take a day off." Allison knew that wasn't truee, if her dad could have been here today he would have, he wouldn't have missed it for the world. As time passed, and dad's spoke, she knew her time was slowly approaching. One thing she knew is that her daddy will always love her and she will see him again one day, and she knows he's there with her. She stepped up and she said "Daddy, I know you're here." She looked at the crowd and saw him sitting in her seat and that's when she began her story "My daddy couldn't be here today, because he died, in the mine explosion, and i know if he could he would be here. To me he's different than all the dad's hes not deadbeat at all. In fact he worked hard at his job, but he always had time for his family. No matter what he always made sure I was ready for school, had more than enough to eat, and that i had a ton of clothes in my room. I never wanted for anything. He always got me what I wanted. The day he died, I knew that he was doing everything in his power to get out and come home to saftey. Just because you can't see him doesn't mean he isn't here. He's here with me hes sitting in my seat." If for a very moment, everyone in that room closed their eyes and saw him sitting in her seat. Everyone believed if only for that very second. When they all opened their eyes there was long red rose sitting on her desk that wasn't there before. "If you just believe, you will know that heaven isn't far away. It's in our hearts if we just believe. I love my daddy and I always will, I know that he watches over me from the heart shaped cloud I see daily." By that time school was through, and no one will ever forget about her father, and what had happened there that day.
