We lay on this sofa,
As if everything is okay
We go in the arcade,
As if its any other day
We walk around the shop,
Say we’ll eat like kings
Looking at furniture,
We can’t afford these things
We see money in the bank,
Jump like we can spend
We act like we deserve it,
It’s a loan, it’s just a lend
We can sit and smile,
Hoping for the best
We’ve got some of the bond,
But we haven’t got the rest
We say ‘when we get home…’
But that place doesn’t exist
We cant pay it back,
But a loan we cant resist
I look into your eyes
As I say we have to go
I see your eyes gloss over
I know your feeling low
In all this time to spare,
I’m thinking what the hell to do
But there is one lucky part,
Because I’m in it with you
