“Please, don’t kill her,” the soft voice of a young woman pleads. She sits on the ground, elegant yet helpless as she watches a man she fears the most take away the girl she loves the most. “I’ll do anything,” she says, her voice barely above a whisper.
The man cackles, his face contorting, wrinkling. It was terrifying. The man was something straight out of your nightmares, his eyes beady and opaque, his body tall and lanky. He was pale, too, and bald. He was a horrible fiend, nothing above a demon. “And why,” he asks, his voice rough and crackly, “would I want to kill this...girl? What would I gain?”
This was what the man loved to do. Make you push yourself over the edge. Let you do the dirty work. The young woman looked at the man with tears in her eyes. Then she looks over at the girl, passed out in the demon’s arms. “Because you’re a demon. You’re scum.”
The man just laughs, a deep, horrid laugh that sent shivers down your spine. “You always were foolish, Aurora.” With that, the evil man stomps the young woman’s face into the ground, causing her to pass out. That would be the last time she ever saw her daughter.
