Frozen headlines interlocked,

arms colliding, all strong,

my mind just flies, forgetting time,

and finds the familiar flock...

While birds can fly and we never will,

it leaves me with some envy,

they glide towards the light

us in the dark,

weighed down, we’re oh so heavy...

Our wings can’t bend to greater lengths

because our minds won’t let us,

but when you find your friendly birds,

the wheels can fuel the bus,

and chugging through the streets in town

with other buses screeching,

you can look and say “good riddance”,

because their shadows won’t come creeping...

Buses filled with negative mist,

birds with black, dark wings,

feathers built to withstand blasts,

making them scary things,

things that are to follow the winds

and never tread away,

factories of robot parts

that are cursed, or so they say...

And despite these malignant, malicious beasts,

your heart can remain light,

as with the correct crowd of the birds,

even you can achieve f l i g h t.
