This is my most emotional piece of work. Four years before I was born, my brother died as he was born. Though I wasn't even close to knowing him, when I think of him I want to cry, and I miss him anyway.

I imagine brother, that you would look like our sister,

Blonde hair, blue eyed and angelic,
Though I believe you already look like that as you look down on me,
Watching me like a Guardian Angel.

I believe brother you would have been good at maths, like father,
But then again, I believe you would have excelled at all,
But when does a baby need such menial lessons?
When have they been important to an Angel?

I believe brother you would have made mother proud,
you would be an amazing son and friend,
What is it like up there? Do you have friends?
Is there company for an Angel?

I have been told brother was it not for you leaving there would be no me,
and no person to be writing this for you.
Is it that you died so I lived?
My beautiful Angel?

Can you read, hear or sense this poem?
What of the tears on my face?
It is true we never met, or spoke or knew,
But in our lives you still hold a place.
