The sun was shining down onto the suburban streets of Summerville. A girl by the name of Anna could be seen strolling merrily down the street. She was headed north toward the center of Summerville to buy groceries at the main grocery store at the center of the village. Her hair was glowing in the late evening sun, her large blue eyes were worn from a arduous day of school.
Everything was flawlessly bright in Summerville. The next instant, the girl is no longer in sight any longer. No one ever saw her again. Some people didn’t even seem to remember that such a girl existed.
The next day another girl can be seen walking briskly down the streets of Summerville to the grocery store. She also disappeared, in the same way. No one remembered her either.

Over the years, the people of Summerville completely forgot about Anna and Barbara. Originally, a couple student had remembered them, but now no one did. Anne and Barbara had both, apparently, completely evaporated.
There was a girl by the name of Sarah. She was your typical Summerville girl. Always smiley, cheerful, and glowing with ebullience. The only difference was that Sarah went to school in Summerville until she was about 14 years old. When Sarah was 14 she, unfortunately, began to achieve horrific grades in school. Sarah decided to drop out of school. Now, most people of Summerville would tell you that Sarah had ruined her life, but Sarah thought otherwise. She felt that something good would come out of dropping out. It was a feeling that she had. It wasn’t like she would accomplish nothing in her life by not going to school.
Nothing bad ever happened to Sarah. She went through her life like a robot, until, of course, she dropped out of school. Students were never allowed outside the “holy school premises”. People like Sarah, who dropped out of school, were only allowed outside their house on weekends. That’s just how life worked in Summerville. Sarah never had done anything wrong, so she figured that she could sneak out to simply go out for a walk.
Sarah went out on her walk. It was, again, another sunny day. Sarah was on her stroll around the block,. She was thinking deeply about the meaning of life. Suddenly, Sarah glanced around her and realized that she had no idea where she was. The white sidewalk was now black? No, that didn’t make any sense at all. The sidewalk in Summerville could never be black. Nothing in Summerville was even allowed to be black. Something was wrong.
Sarah started to run, hoping to get out of the blackness. There was absolutely no people around her. She didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, she looked around and realized that she was standing on an endless field made of black grass, not green grass. It was also damp outside, Sarah realized with horror, the air felt as if rain would be coming soon. There was no one around her.
“ HELP, HELP ME!”, Sarah called hopelessly into the field. Her voice was surprisingly high. A cold, damp finger poked her shoulder. The girl abruptly turned around. There was no one there. This happened again and again.

Three days later, Sarah was relaxing under a gray tree in the endless field. She had made two friends in the past three days. Sarah couldn’t even remember how she produced these friends. She had learned that she was actually in a parallel world. She was in Winterville, which was the alien town of Summerville. Sarah found that she was enjoying herself more and more every day in Winterville. Over the day, Winterville began to change. The darkness began to change to am ore happy lightness. She spent her day in the comfort of her two friends. The spent the entire day climbing trees, running through the fields ,horseracing, and of course, eating food to no end. Meanwhile, back in Summerville, the days were shadowy, monotonous, and exhausting.

For the next couple of years, Summerville slowly began to change to Winterville, and Winterville to Summerville. Many more students from Summerville began to mysteriously disappeared, but no one knew when someone disappeared. The students in Winterville didn’t realize that others were magically appearing in Winterville.
This cycle continues continuously and is still on progress to this very day. Winterville doesn’t know of Summerville, and Summerville doesn’t know of Winterville. Well, for now at least. If the villages do find out about each other, who knows what might happen.
