It's funny how things play out. We all spend a lot of our thoughts thinking about what could go wrong and how we would react and fear it but when the worst happens, it's all so different. We're all wired to adapt. Starting a couple years ago we literally didn't physically have anything that we have now. We went through some tough shit that a lot of people were hesitant to bring up to us but looking back, in the midst of all the heartache and the chaos and what other people viewed as some form of Hell, we were the freest we'd ever been. In between all the ups and downs, we found a rare form of peace and given everything that we have now, sometimes we both wish to just go back for a couple days. Just imagine being a balloon that's tied down and someone cuts you loose. At first you're afraid but once you rely on the fact that you're free to go with the wind, you eventually become used to it and realize how nice it is. So, I guess if we were really as faulted and as irresponsible as some people have loved to assume, we wouldn't have tied ourselves back down. We all have so many bumps in the road, some big, some small but there is always something to be found and a lesson to be learned and I don't regret a thing.
