Butterflies and Crows

She use to laugh at butterflies and dress in pretty things.
Her joy and love once shined
as bright as the sun touching what ever she went by but That was before she met him.
He was her new best friend and her mothers pride and joy.
He was the best a girl could have for a while, that was until her mother was away.
He was like another person, one she’d never met.
He turned into a monster that begging could not conceal.
That night while a storm raged high her feeble pleas could not be heard
above the angry voice of thunder and the frightening howl of the wind outside
That night he stole her innocent and with it he took her soul.
He tore it from her leaving her laying there a broken child on the floor.

She once was bright with open eyes to the future ahead but now you see why I said she once was.

That night her took her life crumbled it up and left it withering on the floor.
