Status: Finished  |  Genre: Humor  |  House: Booksie Classic

This is inspired by one of my own experiences. I worked a job with a friend and his dad waterproofing a house. We had to dig a big trench 36 feet across the house. When we were all finished my friends dad went out in the back yard to get the check from the homeowner. I just thought this up while I was waiting.

I work hard

Every day

Sitting here, waiting

For my pay

I must work hard

I have to get my pay

To pay my bills

And make my girl stay

My wife tries to love me

I just don't have time

I do nothing else

But collect what's mine

And I know in my heart

That I'll die someday

But not before

I get my pay
