The lonely traveler.

I travel on

From this dusty town

I left at dawn

To escape the years gone by

I care for no one

Except myself

My companion is the bottle

No one else

I take to my horse

And ride to the sun

I go on coarse

Until my journey is done

My life is my crime

My punishment is sorrow

My only life sentence

A handgun I may borrow

But before I go

Into my mind

I want her to know

I at least said goodbye
