and you reach to me

after three long years of secrecy

after making me feel weak and vulnerable

but beautiful and recoverable

you told me about your sleet white pills

(your white fist full)

i remember your hands

cold and soft like a childs

we were both just as mild, afraid of each other

i remember your words

would pour like honey

all over me

those words, slow and sweet

sometimes sticky

i remember when you kissed me clean

now those words tell me of your  dream

the one you watch unpack his things,

"he is here to stay" you tell me quietly.

he talks to you in circles, yet

you've heard enough

to know what follows

"if we could have stayed

would we be hanging here,

like we are now?"

darling? are you still there?

exposed on a whim, like this coffin cold wind

would we be more ground, more sound or stable?
