This is an attempt to combine urban fantasy with the superhero novel. Shortly after graduating high school, Jim Blackwell, a teenager hated by many in his small Pennsylvania town, is on vacation in Myrtle Beach. While wading in the ocean, he gets caught by a riptide and carried by a dolphin to an island where he meets the Elders, a race of beings that date to before humans first recorded history. Their leader tells Jim that a prophecy said that one day, humanity would need a savior from its destruction, and that Jim was that person. He is granted the power of extreme strength, and the ability of flight, which he will use to fight the forces of evil and save the world. He returns to Myrtle Beach and creates a persona for himself called The Waccamaw Breeze. He soon learns that a hotel magnate, leader of The Myrtle Beach Mafia, a group that truly controls the city, plans to create a conduit that will destroy the eastern seaboard, and eventually, the world.
