"Don't look down"

It's a warning. A warning for people who are so high up in the sky that if they look down, they will surely freeze with terror, usually letting the one thing that can keep them safe slip through their fingers.

Everyone knows that.

"Don't look down"

Don't look down because, when you do, you'll see something you wish you hadn't.

You'll see too many curves and not enough corners. You'll see too much pink, not enough blue. You'll see too much soft, not enough sharp.

"Don't look down"

Don't look down or you'll look down with horror at what lies there. You'll feel the sharp, cold hatred and panic spread through your veins. You'll look down and you'll wish you hadn't.

"Heed my warning and take care because it's a super tough world out there"

It's a super tough world here too - staring and staring in the mirror, wondering what could have been done. It was a 50/50 chance, how did I get it wrong?

"Don't look down"

I won't anymore because I know what's lurking there. A spiralling of emotion, enough for me to drop to the floor and die.

I wouldn't look down, I promise. I wouldn't dare.
