The poem I have submitted is about my late Mother. She past away 3 years ago and I write the poems I do for her so I can still feel a connection and also I like to think she is reading them.

To my Dearest Mum You really were the dearest, for the Rose will never smell as sweet since you were the nearest. For your hand slipped away from mine, I still remember your touch, I lived to hug you everyday although it wasn't much. I wish I could have saved you I wish it was me instead, for your a perfect angel a one and only breed. You gave your life to us, I wish I could give it back, I still haven't got over how you left just like that, but they needed you elsewhere god I know did too, I know he will treat you well and does what his bound to do. I miss you mum more than the day before, one day I will see you again and we'll be apart no more.
