Drip

drip drip drip,

i feel the warmth pass over me,

running down from the hole were my heart should be,drip drip drip,

blood,

warm and dark,

dangerous,

mysterious,

but in a way lovely,

i am losing consciousness,

i can no longer separate my thoughts they are all blurring together,

i know they will soon disappear,

i do not fear death but embrace it,

i welcome it like an old friend,

i beckon it to come closer,

as it approaches,

slowly,

gracefully,

the blood is still dripping,

drip drip drip,

now it has created a puddle on the icy floor,

i take one last glance at the world around me,

a silent goodbye,

then i look death in the eye to make it clear I'M not afraid,

i look down at the pool of blood,

beautiful,

i smile,

then it's black
