He rolled over in bed all night,
As during the day he had nothing to eat;
And hopeless he could only predict,
That every new day would renew his plight.

Now overwhelmed by revolt and anger,
He was feeling lower and hungrier than ever;
He would go for crumbs or whatsoever,
He would steal or even kill to kill his hunger;

His hunger, however, was overpowering him,
Starving him so deeply, making him so slim,
That his inanition would offer it an ovation;

His hunger, in fact, was quicker and quicker,
Making him feel hungrier and weaker,
While voraciously feeding on his starvation.
