"This is going to be the best party ever," Audry assured me as I finished taping the last banner on the wall that read 'Party Like Forever is Ending'. I smiled and looked around, proud of my handiwork. I'd completely transformed my aunt's house for the perfect party about to take place in an hour.

"I know," I agreed. "But those jerks better not bring any booze. That stuff stains the carpet and my partents will take my car if that happens. It smells horrible, " I said scrunching my nose.

"It's pretty cool that your aunt let us use her house," Laney commented shaking her bouncy blond curls.

"I know. She's definitely on my list of cool adults. And that makes two people on the list. A new record!" Audry cheered throwing her newly tanned arms in the air. I grinned.

"Who's the first?" Karen asked.

"Mr. Landberg. He's hot!" Audry said. She strode over to the fridge in the kitchen and opened it. "Hey, Clare, got any Dr. Pepper?"

"Nah. My aunt's on a diet. She only drinks water."

"She's smart. I've gained half a pound this week. I'm not eating anything tonight." Laney told me.

"Alright, come on. Let's go get ready," I said leading them upstairs. Audry closed the fridge and they ran after me. Once my aunt's room be began slamming make-up on our faces by the pound. Anything to look good. Hairspray filled the room, and it smelled horrible, but it was worth it. Once finished with the hair and make-up we dressed. I wore a short baby blue twist front cami dress; Laney had a red simple halter; Audry wore an emrald green babydoll dress. We all looked sexy and classy at the same time, the perfect look for this party. I smirked at myself in the mirror. Just then, the doorbell rang.

We ran downstairs and I switched on the music before opening the door. I smiled when I saw my boyfriend, Hector, on the other side. I screamed and jumped into his arms. He had moved away a month before and I had missed him incredibly. I planted my mouth on his when he caught me. I was instantly in heaven. More people poured into the house, and 'Solja Boy' blared from the speakers. Everyone danced like they were on fire.

"Do you want me to get you a drink?" Hector asked me after our tenth song. I nodded, out of breath. I fanned myself as he walked away. A few minutes passed and I began to wonder what was taking him. I sighed and pushed through the mass of people as Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' screamed at me. I reached the refreshments table and stopped dead when I saw Hector with his arm around Laney, their mouths locked together in a passionate kiss. I glared and stalked over. I quickly grabbed Laney by her hair and threw her on to the ground. She screamed, and Hector looked dumbstruck.

"Clare-" he began, but I stopped him with a slap.

"Never talk to me again!" I shouted. "We are over. I never want to see you again!" Tears streamed from my face and I quickly ran to the kitchen to cry. I hid in the corner and cried my heart out. After some time I felt and arm go around me and I looked up into the face of David Cooper, an old friend of Hector. He was incredibly cute, and suddenly I wondered why I went out with Hector instead of him. The instant I saw him I kissed him. He returned it.

Hours seemed to pass, and David offered to drive me home. I could tell he was drunk, but I didn't care. I nodded, and pulled him outside. We ran to his car, and jumped in. We made it halfway down the road when he suddenly turned the wheel, and we flew into another parked car. Everything blacked out.

When I awoke, I was in the hospital.

"Where's David?" I asked the doctor.

"He didn't make it. I'm sorry." I thought of turning back to Hector when he told me, "The couple in the other car also passed away. Hector Rich and Laney Jorkniy."

I didn't say anything to that. I knew that I had made a mistake throwing that party, and I knew I would never be the same. I turned on the tv when he left and found Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' playing on VH1. I cried as the song reminded me of the horrible night.

A/N: Not a very good story, and I know it doesn't have much to do with the song, but I did my best. Sorry if it sucks.
