In this moment,
Alone with my thoughts
I realize my downfalls,
I realize my faults.
I’m far to picky
About the things that I eat,
I cry and complain about
Something each week.
No one is perfect,
Or even close to,
In my eyes you are stained,
Yes, even you.
I forgive far to quickly
Those who break my heart,
Friends and boy friends
Who rip me apart.
All of my faults
I see crystal clear,
I see the pointlessness
Of all my silly fears.
And I will strive
To better myself,
Locking away my
Complaints on a shelf.
So let you be warned,
My two-faced friends,
All of you who don’t
Care about me in the end,
No longer shall I be your
Welcome mat,
Your carpet to trample,
Your garbage sack.
Don’t tread on me,
My pride do not kill,
For my forgiveness will not
Come as fast as you think it will.
