Stumbling

Poem by: HelloMyNameIsFearless

Summary

We all just have those days we want to give up and are just trying so hard not to fall. We stumble, we wander, we end up hurt, we end up lost, but in the end, somehow we find what's true.

I stumbled upon you,

Just stumbling through

Life. In that hazy second,

I solemnly reckoned

Maybe I wouldn't be alone

After all. The promise engraved in my flesh and bone

Stuckme like a bolt of hope

That maybe I wouldn't spend the rest of these days trapped in this tight, tight rope.

In that moment, I knew

no matter the lies of pain or loss, love would always be true.

Because truthfully I

Had begun to give up, a horrible way to die.

Until I stumbled upon you.
