Currently, there are 21 people who are fighting over the presidential candidate position for the Democratic party. That's a lot. Amongst those 21 people are white, black and Asian people. Six women, 15 men. I'm a little disappointed. Not even one third is women, but I guess that's not surprising.

The US elections are interesting, because it's not about the US, it's about the whole world. How many Americans care about the presidential elections in small countries like Estonia for example? I'd say not many, but I'm sure most Estonians were aware that Trump won just a few hours after the news broke.

It's unusual that so many people want to run for president, but that shows us a few things. First off, people are motivated to have someone else as president than Trump. Secondly, it has become apparent that anyone can be a president, no matter your political background. Let's look at Joe Biden. He's one of the possible candidates that has years upon years of political experience. That would make him quite qualified. Same was for Hillary Clinton. She had experience in politics on the national and even international level. Trump is very different. He's never been a senator or a congressman or anything other than a businessman. He lacked any real experience, which has shown that anyone can run for president and people are stupid enough to vote for that person.

Look at it from this angle. You have a business that fixes laptops. You have to hire someone and you have two possible options. A person who has worked in several electronic repair shops and has done the work they're applying for. The another person is someone who's from a completely different field. Let's say they have inherited a successful restaurant from their parents and now has made it even more successful. They have their own cooking show, for examlpe. Which one do you pick? The IT guy or the wannabe Gordon Ramsay? It should be obvious.

The last few years have shown none of that matters, and that's what makes the rest of the world shake their head. As it's apparent political experience doesn't matter, I'm surprised that you have to be 35 to be a president. Why? Wouldn't it be nice to have someone that's not old and wrinckled? Honestly, I'm proud that Obama was the first black president, but at the same time, I'm disappointed that of the 75 presidents, none are females. Maybe later on.

Honestly, there's no knowing who's going to be going against Trump, in case he gest assassinated first. Sure, Biden might be popular now, but you never know, as we've seen in the past. No matter what happens, I hope it won't be such as mess, as the 2016 elections were but I'm pretty sure it's just going to fuck the rest of the world over anyway. I think I'm going to concentrate on watching Netflix with my cat until then.
