"There's no one home, and the birds have flown".

Wayne Klapwyk

I Just Might Let Go

By Henry Duthler

All alone, the end of my rope

And I'm afraid

That the ties have frayed

They're calling me

They're calling me

And I just might let go…

No one home to keep me afloat

No turning back

The deck is stacked

They're calling me

They're calling me

And I just might let go…

Whispers, like the rain

I can see the madness

through the pain

They're calling me,

They're calling me,

And I just might let it go…

Secrets, drive me insane

Twist the blade

Drive it in again,

They're calling me

They're calling me

And I just might let it go…

Voices, there they are again

Scratching like claws

Within my brain

They're calling me

They're calling me

And I just might let it go…

Regrets, set in like stains

Etched so deep

They'll never wash away

They're calling me

They're calling me

And I just might let it go…

Nice job- I wanted to read this one in a chant, it had that certain feeling. All your poems seem to have a different feeling and draw me in in many different ways and thats such a great thing. "Regrets set in like stains"- it's so true...

It is "chant like" I originally penned this piece as lyrics. Then I remembered I suck at writing music! Lol
