Into The Fray
By Henry Duthler

Far from the light,
in shadows lurking.
Carnivorous hunger,
stomach churning.
Taste of bloodletting,
endless cravings.
Scratch that itch,
until my skin is burning.
Quench this thirst,
ever so unrelenting.
Bent and broken,
Every muscle aching.
Shivers down my spine,
Like scorpions crawling.
Coursing through my veins,
My soul escaping.
