The Hunger
by Henry Duthler

The blurred edges,
The antithesis of focus
It's within the "what isn't"
Versus the "what is."
The accumulation,
The anticipation
Acquisition, over satisfaction.
The cake,
It exists....
But only,
in the hunger.
