Wicked Sway

By Henry Duthler

Time it falters

It slips, it fades

Memories forged

Remain engaged

Fears subside

And wash away

Tears they fall

With so much to say

In darkness, light

Begins to fray

Unraveled tomorrows

Are now today

Sweet perfume

With wicked sway

Escapes my breath

As in peace I lay

Foundations crumble

Belief is stayed

Seasons dance

Like embers fade
