Love Words
I told her I love her, but she still walked away
I told her I love her, but she did not have nothing else to say
I told her I love her, but she cried many tears
I told her I love her, but her heart still quench in fear
I told her I love her, but she couldn't look me in the eyes
I told her I love her, but she heard this once before and doesn't seem surprised
I told her I love her, until finally she asked why

Its simple I see those tears of sadness in your eyes
I know the past has hurt your soul but yet you survive
I see you want to love, but now your afraid of love
Because your love is hard and is pure as a dove
It's very gentle and at the same time very sweet
But people have tarnished it and now it's incomplete
So let me love you and be that piece to your life
I know as a man sometimes I may be misguide
But I always keep God first and make things right
I just want you to be the strength of my backbone
I just want you to hold me up when I feel alone
I want you to love me with all your heart
Always keep God first and never depart
That's all I want is for us to love as one
This is the reason why I want you for the future to come

So as she gasped heavily from all the spoken words
I looked her in the eyes to say one more verse
I simply said I love you
With a smile she said I love you to.
