It’s impossible to find your face
Among the confusion that fills my empty space
I don’t want you to slip away
Don’t want things to change

Just a dream or two a night won’t do
There’s only so many ways I can be next to you
When you’re really not alone
It’s always so slow

There’s a step we take to fall in line
I couldn’t handle being anywhere behind
I need you and I don’t know why

Somehow you’re always on my coloured mind
Sun on a cloudy day, there but makes me blind
You’re the bright light that shines through me
You see right through me

Time by time, I try not to smile then
I’m not up for the position once again
Just take one breathe at a time
Breathe in deep and out

There’s a step we take to fall in line
I couldn’t handle being anywhere behind
I need you and I don’t know how

And sometimes I wish you would pay more attention
And sometimes I wish you would simply care
But your flaws are worth the battle I am fighting
And I’m not gunna let it stop there, yeah

There’s a step we take to fall in line
I couldn’t handle being anywhere behind
I need you, I need you to know
There’s a step we take to fall in line
I couldn’t handle being anywhere behind
Cause I smile when you smile like the sunshine
Another one like you I’ll never find
I need you and I don’t know why
