He was shocked when the older man put handcuffs on him. " What!?" he said.  " What in the hell are you doing!?"

" You bastard!" the other man answered. " You just committed a big crime!"

He looked dead serious. " What do you mean!?" the younger man said scared and confused. " But I did it for you…"

" Yap," said the older man. " You did it for me, but you also committed a social and  political crime, " the man said with a grim face. " You have done something our great leader has told you not to do!"

The young man was even more confused. It was true that the other  man was not wearing his military police  uniform, but he had been the one that had asked him to commit this state crime . He had even promised to pay him for it like everyone else would  do. He suddenly remembered what the senior officer had told him:" He is to be trusted. You can use him whenever  you need help. "  He had given him his cell-phone number adding," Just give him a call!" That was why he had written "useable  Mahdi"  before the guy's  telephone number in his own cell-phone. That was of-course sometime before he had received the second officer's number too. This  one happened to bear the same name " Mahdi". So he had to add the symbols"  #1"  to this guy's name calling  the second police-officer "useable Mahdi #2."

He heard the sound and the burning of a hard slap on his face. " You son-of-a bitch!" the older man said  pulling his eyebrows together. " You break the law and you expect to get money for it too!?"

" But …" the younger man mumbled. He could recognize the shadow of a smile on the older man's face." Maybe…just maybe that he is joking," he thought . He looked more carefully at the man 's  dark smile.

" But you helped me…several times…before, " he mumbled.

"Yap," the older man said after a long pause. "I helped you those times because…because you were willing to pay …for it, and you did!"

"But Capitan  Abbas  said that you were… you were useable  ...if I ever got into trouble. That 's why he gave me your cell-phone number."

The older man  shook  his head and walked a few steps away. " You have broken the law by setting up that  satellite dish on our rooftop. It is because of people like you that many families and …a lot of children are corrupted. You should be severely punished!"  He turned towards the younger man. He  was definitely  smiling now.

The young man let out a sigh of relief. " Can I go now?"  he asked.

The older man coughed. " On a few conditions!"

"  Yes , of-course… anything," the younger man said happily.

" O.K." the older man said emphatically coming towards him. " The first condition is that…you should not tell anyone….and I mean anyone about what you did here tonight!"

The younger man nodded.

  • The second condition is that you must come here immediately anytime we have problems with  our  satellite set-up . "
  • Yes sir.

"And the third condition," said the  older man beginning to take the hand-cuffs off,  " The third condition is that you come here  early tomorrow morning to go and set up a  satellite  dish for my brother-in-law without asking him for money!" He stopped to clear his throat.  "And of-course say nothing about  that  to anyone either! Understand !"

"Yes sir, of-course ," said the young man rubbing his relieved hands.

The older man was smiling now. "And forget that I ever hand-cuffed you," he said going towards the door. "This was for your own good. I wanted you to understand what would happen to you if you misbehaved."

" Of-course," said the younger man . " I understand fully."  He shook the older man's hands and nodded. " I really appreciate  your concern for me," he added as he walked out  of the house.
