I need to start my year right
I want to do it without YOU
‘coz right now, you seem to be the one thing wrong in my life
I’m sorry I have to say that

I know it will be hard
At times, I’m gonna miss you
I might be tempted
But this is the best thing to do

I hate that we ended like this
But I need to stop hurting myself
I’m so tired of you getting in and out of my life
The way you wanted to

You may not understand it
Because you always seem clueless
Perhaps you’re going to hate me
But still I don’t want to explain myself

It would be good that we don’t talk at all
So I can get over these feelings
I don’t want to be running back to you
This time, I like to be true

For now, I’m saying goodbye
And I mean it this time
I just wanted to be away from you
I’m setting you free, so please let me go

Someday, we may see each other again
We can’t avoid it, you know it
Maybe by then we can be Friends, in its truest sense
Like the way we started...
