A few years ago, a close friend of mine died at a very young age. I wrote this for him, it was the least I could do.

He held me in his arms
As his last breaths drew near
And now he swears to me
He'll love me till it all falls down

And the night goes on
So does life
Even though he's gone
He died for what he thought was right

No more violence on the streets
This boy you see he had a dream
He wanted to be great
We all knew he'd make it some day

But now he's gone
We'll never know
How'd it all have changed
If he'd held the world
