I let my guard down
I let people in
I let my tears fall
I let them all win
Why does everything have to be such a mystery
Why are everybody's motives have to be hidden
Why does life have to be this way
Why do we have to fall in love again
I know I'm just getting up
To be let down
I know I'm just messin up
I'm not messin around
I know I'm just another
Typical teen disaster
I know I'm going no where fast
Or at least that's what I'm told
Good athlete and perfect grades
That's what'll get you somewhere someday somehow when your old
I know what I am and I am not me
She's trapt inside wating to be
She wants to get out but I hold her back
Why am I so scared to just let her out
