Summer Room

Poem by: Hi Im a person

Summary

I was waiting for my ride to come pick me up after school, so I sat in one of the english classrooms. And, yeah- thats basically what this is.

In this hot room books are jutting out from the walls

24 desks are sitting along all in a row

Sun filled windows draw in a cool breeze

During the summer things must look different

The life is outside no longer encased within 4 walls

Joy is clad in short sleeves and sandels

No longer necessary to have a care at all

The books can get a break

The desks begin to gather dust

But that is summer, that is freedom

For now Im in a hot classroom with books jutting out from the walls
