Wet, stained face, purple and blue,

My heart cries without myrequest.

The blue veins squeeze throughly

I regret every last drop of happiness.

They shelter me,

Those close, those precious

From the pain, the hurt,

But I am no actress.

Deep within my eyes

They see where the truth lies,

They wish me to betray you,

But for me there is no compromise.

I hate you, more than myself inside,

Yet I understand the worth you have

For those who remain

I will not split them in half.

I stand alone to face it all,

Ignore the stares of others,

I have my reasons,

Avoid the questions,I have no answers.

Burn and ignite me, I beg,

Any escape will do.

Your fist undeniably brutal,

Yet no flames will allow me to forget you.

Death is so full,

So masterful in his decay

My heart lifts to think

Of that day he'll take me away.
