Lonely Harlequin in the night
His written words unsung and unspoken
As he sits upon his book of poems
Dedicated to the one true muse
Appreciative of his love.
Words she whispers
Revealed on her bare form,
Allowing herself to be his love.
His melancholy song carries on the wind
Guiding her along the dark forest trail
At the quiet meadow the song expires,
His dream realized as the moonlight
Shines down on his abandoned mandolin.
