As you get older a certain pleasure
can be derived from simplistic joys.
Boredom is a fallacy
of youthful exuberance,
equating doing anything with
accomplishing something,
of no tangible result.
Life takes on such meaning
when time slows to a crawl
and every second is a curiosity,
realizing the importance of
just sitting together or
taking a slow walk to nowhere.
Thoughts traded back and forth
without a word spoken,
just the knowing, enough to satisfy,
and the knowing, the reason we`re here.
