Three seconds before
or three seconds after
nothing matters
but this moment,
the reality of time
to be forgotten
or remembered,
your blue eyes
bathing me in their glow
your nakedness calling me
weaving your spell
in the dim moonlight
shining in your window,
this room becomes
the center of life
and the only place
I need to be
unspoken words convey
unlimited longing
the anticipation of
crossing to you becomes
the remembrance
as we lay spent,
the time
in the moment,
our drug.
