An angel flew by this morning,
And I caught it in mid air,
She had tired wings and a saddened face,
What is the matter, I asked.
I have flown far and beyond human reaches lately and I'm tired and I'm sad.
I smiled at her softly.
And strengthened her wings with the caressing of my hand.
Worry not, beautiful, because flying is what you do best.
We escaped furtive, silently, in the fog of the morning,
To a private garden, where only angels and humans that have known them can inhabit.
I loved the angel and she loved me back.
We traveled far and beyond again among the flowers of dawn
and we smiled a lot. She forgot her tired wings and I forgot the world
A second after I met her, a beam of light traveled the distance between the Sun and her face.
Be blessed angel of mine, be blessed, be blessed my wife.
