When you finally knew that I loved you,
You then asked me why.
I thought about my answer
It took me quite a while.

Why do I really love you?
It’s not your smile or hair
I love you because of your kind heart
And how you always seem to care.

But my answers weren’t good enough
It still left you in doubt
And still I couldn’t answer you
When you started o ask me how.

But whatever reasons there may be
Why need I say it now?
Would you still love me if I told you that
I don’t know why or how?

Love needs no reason,
But what I say is true
Why ask for some good reason,
When the reason lies in you?
