Gah! Homework!

My hand hurts,
And my fingers are numb,
All this writing,
It seems so dumb

My homework is,
To write in French,
So dull and tiring, it feels,
Like I’ve been hit with a wrench

Numbers are so boring,
Written out by hand,
1 until 100,
Something from crazy land

Now I’m only on 60,
40 more to go,
Unlike in English,
Nothing seems to flow

This is such a pain,
And my hand begins to burn,
The things children do,
What they do to learn

Why my parents send me there,
I have no clue,
Why not learn the numbers,
Only 1 until 42?

It makes no sense to me,
This copying down,
All of this hard work,
Makes me want to frown

And after this,
I have more stuff to do,
At the end of it all,
I will feel like poo

It is basically the same thing,
Written over and over again,
My head will explode,
I need a garden of Zen

So thinking all of this,
It is safe to say,
That I hate homework,
Before, right now, and past this day
