I remember when I first started playing football. I was only 9 years old when I first started. I remember going to my first practice (behind Chasco Middle School) and getting layed on my butt! I remember getting up from the hit and feeling some tremendous pain. But I continued on and didn’t give up on myself, through out that practice/year I got better as time went I got really good. By my second year I had coaches from other teams wanting me to play for them. As time went on I continued to play and I moved to play school ball (Bayonet Point Middle School). I did well at Bayonet and felt accomplished after it was done. When 9th grade came along I played high school football (Ridgewood High School) in my first appearance on the field I started as Captain of the Junior Varsity (JV) as a defensive tackle. At the end of my JV season I was promoted to play varsity for the Ridgewood Rams. But sadly when I got that opportunity I found out my uncle had passed away of cancer (4 year fight). When I received the horrible news I basically quit on life. I stopped going to school, I started hanging out with the wrong crowd of people and ended up doing very negative things. My grades dropped and my 10th grade year I could not play football. That’s when I realized that I couldn’t slack anymore and I tried extremely hard to get my grades up and I went from having a 1.3 g.p.a in school to a 2.1 g.p.a(in 1 school year). I then realized nothing in life is impossible. The following year I got to play for a brand new school (Fivay High School). But due to my bad behavior issues I had in fivay I lost my starting defensive tackle spot and possible captain spot. By losing my spot I got angry with myself and started slacking in school and I also had a horrible teacher that did not provide the teaching I needed and I failed her class. One of my teachers quit in middle of the year and it cost me to fail the class. Due to those reasons I could no longer play football. I Currently have a 1.86 and missing  .5 credits. I am working hard on both and hopefully when it comes to graduation day I will gladly walk down and receive my high school diploma that I have worked very hard for!

Nothing in life is impossible and I’ve learned plenty of times.
