Wear, like a Glove

How do you define the meaning of love?

Do you define it in the day you met?

Is it something you wear, Wear, like a Glove?

Is it the sadness you felt when she left?

Can love be the holiday sweater she knit?

Can love be that shallow or is it thick-

Like a fire of desire, a flame she lit.

Does it—poof—appear like a magic trick?

*I ask because I don’t know the answer.

*I think, I feel, I might--can it be real?

Swayed by those pout lips—tantalizing dancer

Is this the word, the emotion I feel?

The feeling she evokes inside me,
So this must be love, so, love, this must be.
