We all have a special connection with our native land.

The land has color.

Gray and brown and green.

Blue and red and orange.

The land is beautiful.

The thick trees.

And the sparse cliffs.

The land has majesty.

The great masses of camels.

The late dry season sunsets.

The land has soul.

The herds of Gemsbok.

The small group of nomads, still bonded.

The land has grace.

The rains as the dry seasons ends.

The great great curves of the distant mountains.

The land loves, and gives forever.

When Musa speaks of the promised land,

I see my home.
