AUTUMN LEAVES

Summer's gone,  she crept away unnoticed

The Autumn morn,  crisp and bright is here

The mighty oak - her leaves are slowly falling

Their rustling sound's like music to my ears.

I stand back and then take in their beauty

The Autumn leaves of yellow,  red and gold.

I close my eyes - the wind is gently blowing

The gathering leaves are nestling round my feet.

I want to dance and savour this great moment

When nature shares the secrets that she holds

Before she comes and snatches back this beauty

And leaves Winter,  with it's bleakness and it's cold.
