WE PLAYED AMONGST THE FLOWERS

I'll never forget when we played amongst the flowers,

We ran, we laughed, days so full of fun,

But we grew up and soon the fun had ended

You went to war, the battle must be won.

Each day is long, each day is full of sadness

My Brother, so many miles away,

Please come home safe, let this war be ended

So we can play amongst the flowers again.
