This I know for sure. I know very little. Being older does not equate to becoming wiser. It is accompanied by a stiffened body and a smaller smile. That hard work does not always get rewarded. Love is an illusion made up by the Hallmark staffers. A sense of self is the best gift any parent can give. Dismissive looks and conditions on the other hand create a child who is never secure in themselves. Our education system has failed us terribly. Graduates don’t know how to balance a budget or complete their taxes. Volunteerism should be a mandatory prerequisite to any degree. Religion has protected abusers and sanctuaries are nearly extinct. Credit card debt is a form of modern day servitude and slavery. Reading and writing are undervalued. Talk is small and redundant. Fireworks and surprise parties should be considered unlawful. Social media has created a generation of awkward and anti- social individuals. Children, while being adorable are brutally honest. Adults while being attractive are terrible liars. Fifty five is just a number of years passed. No more – no less.
