A Touching Moment

A child's hand in mine.

A frustration diminished with a smile.

A memory of a boy long ago.

These are the thoughts that I retreat to when I am low.

A sincere compliment - just because.

A shared cry as one recognizes themselves in the other.

A truth told which counteracts the lies before it.

These are the words that stay with me.

A simple Thank you for a kindness offered.

A laugh that cannot be silenced.

An arm around me and a quiet reassurance.

These are the moments that touch my soul and kindle my faith.
