Just something that popped into my head.

It Spoke of Me

There is a story I was told
That spoke of a tale so old
It spoke about a melody
A melody sung not for me
It spoke of a beach, of waves and sand
It spoke of two loves walking hand in hand
It spoke of how he held her heart
It spoke of how he never let them drift apart
And now i stand here by the sea
Wishing it had spoken of me
But knowing that it never will
Knowing of my void to fill
Then i hear your footsteps, feel your arms
Still i pull back from alarm
You reach out and grab my hand
While the waves crash upon the sand
You plead forgiveness and i find it true
For deep inside i know i love you
And when you say that final vow
You rest your head upon my brow
And i have gained a newfound light
I never thought could exist until tonight
And now with the light to let me see
I realize i am that girl
It spoke of me

i like this, love the rhyme. it's very impressive. i can see that your name "Hopeless Romantic" suits you like a second skin. you made it a happy ending. but when will life and love actually happen like that? love hurts a lot, it's like that quote.

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”

Yes it's true. Things like that DO happen in the world today. But should that stop us? Should the fear of someone hurting you stop you from allowing yourself to search for happiness or a completion in your life? If you do get hurt then yes it is horrible. But over time it should get better especially with the help of family in friends. And it might also lead you to the one person who you were really made for. Even i am starting to doubt love's existence in todays world. But with a positive ending it shows that i am still willing to hope. There are so many signs that it's still alive in this world that i don't know if i can give up hope completely. So you have you opinion of love, but i will just keep on hoping that there really is someone out there that is meant for me. After all, it is what we hopeless romantics do. :) Thank you :)
