For a couple of weeks while I was at work I kept saying
"I Remember How It Use to Be"

While I was doing that I was trying to put random words together and got nothing that I liked.

So just now I put on my Itunes while listening to Daughtry, I was on specific song that went well with my poem, It was called september. While listening to that it hit to home to me. Imaging his voice singing this to me, while I was writing this.

Also it's about my high school and my locker mate. We use to see each other every morning, her name was jenny. We never had a thing for each other, but I was always looking forward to see her in the morning just to say hi and talk. Her smile to me, just made my day everyday in the morning.

I remember how it use to be the memories and the laughter in-between.

Everyone around me, closing those doors…I see how the day begins.

In the hallway I see them laughing, now I hear them walking away.

I walk in those halls, wishing I could seen by another. I know I was different then the others.

Still I had your smile and the morning minutes I had with you.

Wish I could go back in time, just to capture that frame in time.

Oh how I miss those days, meeting by the lockers to get our things.

But I waited till you got there, just to see that smile. It’s just makes my day.

Oh I wanted to be there standing and waiting for that smile.

But I remember how it use to be, the memories and the laughter in-between.

I see everyone walking by me, why don’t they see what’s in front of them.

Still I looked around for you in the morning time, when you weren’t there I was just waiting for another day just to meet again.

Oh I remember how it use to be, the memories and the laughter in-between.
